How to Order
The East Tennessee Nursery will begin taking orders at 9:00 am ET on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, for delivery and pickup in Winter and Spring 2026. The last day to order is March 31, 2026. Some species sell out quickly, so plan ahead and order early. You can order seedlings through the online Seedling Store at http://PlantTNtrees.org. Orders will not be accepted via phone.
Orders must be received by the 15th of the month prior to the month selected for delivery. For example, to receive seedlings in January, you must order by December 15.
Payment Fee Charges
*Paying by credit card. This form of payment requires an additional 2.35% service charge.
*Paying by bank account electronic funds transfer or by check. This form of payment requires an additional $0.49 service charge.
Refunds & Cancellations
To cancel an order, please call the East Tennessee Nursery at (877) 868-7337. All orders require a minimum of 30 days notice of cancellation prior to the selected delivery/pickup month. For example, if you choose January as the delivery month, you must cancel by December 15 to receive a refund. Cancellation requests without the required notice are nonrefundable.
Pickup & Delivery Methods
Shipments are made during the last half of the month you select for delivery or pickup. Availability and delivery are dependent on weather conditions. If you need seedlings during the first half of the month, please order for the previous month. For example, if you need seedlings by February 10, choose January for the month of delivery. Please Note: you can only ship to one destination per order. Separate orders must be placed for each location.
- Customer Pickup (FREE) - For orders placed before February 15, 2026, you may receive seedlings in your choice of either January, February or March at a cooler location near you. Orders received after that date will be required to select the April option and can only pickup trees at the East TN Nursery or pay FedEx charges. Please see the map below and mark your preference during checkout.
If you are picking up at a cooler location, call the day before to ensure that Forestry personnel will be present when you arrive. Please bring a copy of your seedling order invoice (print or digital is okay).
- FedEx Delivery (EXTRA CHARGE) - We will ship seedlings via FedEx to the shipping address specified at checkout. Please see the FedEx shipping charges chart below if you choose this option, the charges will be added to your order total.
